Wakefield Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Aromas of rich blackcurrant, subtle spice, tomato leaf and a touch of eucalyptus, along with oak influence of cedar and dark chocolate. Fermentation was carried out in the winery’s original ‘Potter’ fermenters, allowing for gentle color and tannin extraction. Aged 12 months in French oak. Tasting notes: Great intensity. It has distinctive blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavors. Subtle oak characters of cedar cigar box and spice are also evident. Pairs well with: This is well-balanced, complex wine that makes a great partner to simply grilled steaks, roast chicken and lamb kabobs.
