Trimbach Grand Cru Scholssberg Riesling

Grand Cru Schlossberg (meaning Castel Hill) has a steep terroir composed of granite soils. The Trimbach family purchased four acres of this grand-cru site in 2012. Tasting notes: A delicate, dry, precise mineral-driven wine. A touch of smoke and fleur de sel on the nose and palate with white peach, almond and grapefruit and a creamy finish. The wine is not oak-aged, and is vinified to complete dryness with no residual sugar. Able to age for at least 15-20 years.
