Recanati Upper Galilee Chardonnay

Recanati’s Galilee Series presents classic varietals from select vineyards and growing areas, extracting the characteristic complexity and refinement of each individual variety. The Galilee Chardonnay is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from select hillside vineyards at Kerem-Ben Zimra, an altitude of 2,500 feet above sea level. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed as whole clusters to preserve maximum levels of aroma and flavor. Whole cluster fermentation takes place in small French oak barrels and aged ‘sur lie’ for 9 months. Tasting notes: With delicate aromas of tropical fruit and subtle nuances of caramel and hazelnut, this wine is full-bodied and harmonious, concluding in a long, smooth finish.
