Louis Jadot Musigny Grand Cru

One of the two Grands Crus (with Bonnes Mares) of Chambolle-Musigny, Le Musigny faces east at 320 meters in elevation on stony limestone soil, which makes for a supple wine. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for about 20 months. TASTING NOTE This elegant, well-structured wine shows aromas and flavors of red cherries and spice. It should be given 5 years in the bottle before opening, and will mature for up to 20 years. FOOD PAIRING Pair with not-too-spicy sauces on filet mignon, rich pork or game birds.
