Cru Wine Company Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands

This new Cenral Coast winery is nailing the price/quality rapport with delicious and value driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from cool climate Monterey County sites (primarily). Production is fairly small for wines at thse prices and the care is obvious. While I would never guess that these are old world wines, they are impeccably balanced with judicious use of oak, fine acidity and modest (by CA standards) alcohol. The Vineyard Montage bottlings are incredible values, while the two S. Lucia bottlings can definitely box above their weight class.
