Cellers Sant Rafel Montsant Joana Selecció

Apellation: DO Montsant Viticulture and Enology: Xavi Peñas and Pilar Just. Grape varieties: 70% Red Grenache, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Alcohol: 14,5% vol. Vinification: At controlled temperature at maximum 28ºC. 20 days of maceration and then malolactic fermentation. Ageing: The wine is aged for 4 months in barrels of American (60%) and French (40%) oak. Bottling: Before bottling the wine is clarified using egg white from fresh eggs, followed by a very gentle filtration. Joana Selecció is exuberant, surprising and intense. It is a true expression of Mas d’en Rafel ‘s Garnatxa (Grenache) in all its plenitude. Aged for six months in oak barrels, it is a pleasure for the senses, a wine which will win over many consumers with its clean aromas of red fruit, spices and anise.
